FAQ
How do I see all keyboard shortcuts in Google Sheets?
Press Ctrl+/ on Windows or ChromeOS, or Command+/ on a Mac, to open Google Sheets' built-in shortcut list. You can search it by action. In Settings you can also turn on compatible spreadsheet shortcuts, so familiar Excel combinations behave more like they do in Microsoft Excel.
Do Excel shortcuts work in Google Sheets?
Many do, such as Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+B and Ctrl+Shift+V for paste values. Others differ: strikethrough is Alt+Shift+5 in Sheets but Ctrl+5 in Excel, and hiding a row is Ctrl+Alt+9 instead of Ctrl+9. The table of differences on this page lists the common ones.
What is the Google Sheets shortcut to paste values only?
Press Ctrl+Shift+V on Windows and ChromeOS, or Command+Shift+V on a Mac. It pastes the values without formatting or formulas. In Excel for Microsoft 365 on Windows the same Ctrl+Shift+V combination also pastes values, so the habit carries over between the two apps.
